R-Tapp is a free, smartphone app providing information and listings resource for the arts in Scotland, connecting artists and art venues with the art-loving local population and visitors.
R-Tapp contains comprehensive, searchable directories of all arts venues across Scotland. The directories are directly accessible through ‘Near-U’ sections. Each directory entry includes descriptions, images, directions and links to associated venue websites. Entries may also include embedded video e.g. Videos of bands performing at a live music venue or clips of a stand-up comedians set.
In sections ‘Visual arts, ‘Stand-up’, ‘Live music’, ‘Theatre’ and ‘Cinema’ R-Tapp provides an economic multi-media space for artists and art venues to promote events e.g. exhibitions, concerts, shows directly to smartphone users.
R-Tapp also publishes exclusive, monthly in-house generated editorial content on the arts in Scotland in the various sections under ‘Art news’.
R-Tapp includes an ‘Artists’ section where individual artists and artist groups have the opportunity to promote themselves and their work free of charge.
Additional sections in R-Tapp include ‘Offers’ where users can access discounts offered by participating venues and ‘Art jobs’ where they can search and/or advertise paid vacancies in the Scottish arts industry
